Operations Manager – Restoration Projects

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our DC branch team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, client communication, coordination, material procurement, labor management, project management, quality assurance and billing for all exterior cleaning and restoration projects including painting, pressure washing, pointing and repairs sold by our Washington, DC branch office. The Operations Manager will also be incentivized to drive project sales revenue growth by maintaining and building new relationships within the property management and engineering consulting communities. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the project schedules and operations calendar
  • Schedule and coordinate preconstruction meetings with clients
  •  Attend industry and networking events and meetings
  • Initiate and maintain great relationships with industry and supplier contacts
  • Recruit and assist in hiring skilled and talented field personnel
  • Ensure clients are receiving the highest level of customer service
  • Serve as a trusted contact and resource for clients and communicate and visit them frequently
  • Provide any necessary updates to clients
  • Assist in the development of change order proposals
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget parameters
  • Become familiar with our all of our services and our accounts
  • Focus on safety management and risk mitigation
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends, services and competitors
  • Compose professional emails and other correspondence to clients on a frequent basis
  • Work with the general manager to see that branch goals are met
  • Maintain good working relationships with superintendents and all other field personnel
  • Coordinate with accounting regarding invoicing and billing issues
  • Maintain a professional culture within the ops team and ensure rules are respected and followed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 year college degree
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant construction and/or restoration experience  
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Ability to take clear direction and work independently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
