Operations Manager – Restoration Projects
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our DC branch team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, client communication, coordination, material procurement, labor management, project management, quality assurance and billing for all exterior cleaning and restoration projects including painting, pressure washing, pointing and repairs sold by our Washington, DC branch office. The Operations Manager will also be incentivized to drive project sales revenue growth by maintaining and building new relationships within the property management and engineering consulting communities. - Complete all leveling sheets/review with GC estimators to confirm/clarify scope
- Maintain current price database
- Understanding of bid documents, cost breakdowns, leveling sheets, addendums, etc.
- Ability to review specifications of incoming bids and addendums to ensure our scope is covered.
- Understanding of change order estimates, ASI, Bulletins, Etc.
- Ability to submit RFI’s and review bids as needed, while communicating with clients to ensure all requests are met.
- Attend on-site pre-bid meetings when required. Flexibility for regional travel required
- Participate in actual cost vs. estimated cost analysis meetings
- Ability to compile assembly costs, productivity reports, crew size and composition
- Awareness of past & current proposals (i.e. following up on status of proposals sent, reviewing scope of work with clients, etc.)
Qualifications:

Senior Estimator
Job Functions:
After initial RFP has been reviewed by the Sales Administration team, perform estimating functions for high-value, high-importance terrazzo and resinous flooring RFPs, which include but are not limited to:
- Bid document review; project drawings, finish schedules, project specifications, building rules and regulations, etc…
- Perform take-offs to determine scope quantities
- Attend bid walkthroughs, if applicable
- Input quantities into cost evaluation spreadsheets and review with operations teams to determine labor and material costs
- Lead bid reviews with sales teams to determine pricing for bid submissions
- Complete reviews of addendums, RFIs and other updates throughout the bid process
- Attend and lead leveling meetings on behalf of the company
- Attend and lead closing meetings on behalf of the company
- Oversee a small, motivated estimating team to delegate responsibility and perform review of smaller RFPs
- Coordinate with Operations teams to ensure that project conditions and requirements are understood and addressed after bid award
Qualifications:
- At-least 8 years of construction estimating or management experience
- Terrazzo or Resinous flooring experience is not required, but special consideration will be given to candidates with this experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients via written and verbal communication
Junior Estimator
Compensation commensurate with experience:
