SAFETY AND TRAINING:

Platinum is firmly committed to the safety and well-being of not only our employees, but all persons that our activities may affect.  We do everything possible to prevent workplace accidents and we are committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees. Platinum urges that every employee helps to perpetuate these policies and procedures. We require employees to report any unsafe work practices or safety hazards encountered on the job immediately, no matter how minor they may appear.  Platinum provides various training courses to our field personnel as well as supervisors depending on each worker’s specific role.  Below are some of the courses we provide to our employees:

In addition to the courses taken by our employees, Platinum maintains a Health and Safety Program manual which specifically outlines our safety and training procedures.  Platinum’s current Experience Modification Ratio (EMR) is .90 and has consistently been at this level since inception.

SUSTAINABILITY/GREEN STANDARD:

In our industry, Platinum is the leader in technical and environmental services. We are dedicated to researching to continuously improve the technical aspects of our operation by implementing “green” technologies that minimize our impact on the environment.  In recognition of our environmental initiatives, Platinum was nominated in 2003 as the Environmental Company of the Year by the International Facility Managers Association.

Platinum executives collaborate with our suppliers to identify risks and create environmental sustainable development.  Our involvement not only minimizes the impact to our environmental health, but sets a precedent for our industry’s future while also providing the highest quality results for our clients. The preferred products and services utilized by Platinum are the following:

SUSTAINABLE VEHICLE MANAGEMENT:

Platinum has two fleets of vehicles—commercial vans used to provide services, and management vehicles.  The Vice President of Operations ensures that our commercial vans are regularly serviced to provide maximum efficiency to minimize emissions. Our management, travel only in hybrid vehicles.  Platinum is committed to exploring the feasibility of using alternative-fuel vehicles for commercial use, which includes: hybrids, bio-diesel engines, and electric.

COVID-19 PRACTICES:

Platinum is committed to providing our employees a safe, healthy, and secure working environment and have created protocols and guidelines to keep employees’ health and safety a top priority.

Platinum’s Project Site & Commercial Building Task Force Team have developed site and building specific protocols for our entire workforce in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and The New York State Department of Health. This group remains focused on employee safety and adherence to all guidelines to prevent the spread of disease.

We work closely with all our clients to ensure full compliance with their specific building regulations and train our staff accordingly to guarantee conformity. Platinum Coronavirus – Prevention and Control protocols are updated regularly and communicated to all field personnel daily with confirmed acknowledgement by all employees. The implementation of these protocols is monitored and enforced by frequent site/building inspections to ensure compliance by all. Should anyone be found to not be in full compliance with these protocols, they are instructed to immediately leave the building/site for the day with a possibility of a longer suspension period should it be necessary.

Our employees who are not fully vaccinated are required to complete regular COVID-19 testing and, must comply with additional health and safety measures including but not limited to always wearing face coverings while in the workplace. All PPE supplies are provided by Platinum. Moreover, our COVID Watch Group Task Force closely monitors daily positivity rates and updates. COVID-19 resources, such as informational memos regarding quarantine and isolation guidelines are regularly updated as per federal and state guidelines and distributed to all personnel. Additionally, a free confidential COVID-19 support hotline for any employees seeking additional information is available.
