Shops at Hudson Yards

Project Description:
Platinum performed a full restoration on 155,000 sq. ft. of marble floors at the Shops at Hudson Yards. Over a period of 5 months, the retail floors throughout the elevator cabs, and levels 1-5, were machine sanded and honed to remove existing surface scratches and yellow staining, and machine polished to restore uniform clarity and reflectivity to the white marble flooring. Additionally, all cracks and chips were repaired with epoxy, missing caulk and grout was replaced and all caulked joint lines throughout were chemically cleaned. The restoration was completed just in time for The Shops reopening on September 9, 2020 and continues to be maintained by Platinum’s dedicated crew, cleaning and polishing the floors on a daily basis.
